• Skokie woman, friend sue Chicago Botanic Garden, cite injuries from falling Lightscape gear (chicagotribune.com) — A Skokie resident is suing the Chicago Botanic Garden after equipment allegedly collapsed during the popular Lightscape holiday show, injuring her and a friend. The lawsuit claims serious, long-term injuries and accuses organizers and the Forest Preserves of Cook County of failing to ensure adequate safety. A court date is set for late February as the investigation continues.
