Popular Salad Chain Opening Newest Location At Westfield Old Orchard

SKOKIE, IL — Sweetgreen, a fast-casual restaurant chain that specialized in healthy food, is set to open its newest location in Skokie at Westfield Old Orchard next week.

The new 2,036 sq ft location will open on Dec. 18 and will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, serving up well-known favorites like salads, warm bowls, protein plates and sides. Ahead of the restaurant's opening, customers can RSVP for a sneak peek and a complimentary meal on Dec. 16 or 17.

To celebrate on opening day, the first 150 guests from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.can enjoy special treats, while supplies last. Festivities of the day will include holiday candles from @bloom_hearth, pet holiday ornaments from @milaspaintedpaws and specialty cookies from @envydesigncookies.

Additionally, for every meal purchased on opening day, Sweetgreen will donate a meal to the Friendship Center to help combat food insecurity in Chicago's northwest side.

When the restaurant opens, guests can look forward to classic menu items like the Harvest Bowl, Crispy Rice Bowl, Caramelized Garlic Steak, and Miso Glazed Salmon. On top of that, the seasonal menu this year makes roasted garlic parmesan cauliflower the star of the season.

Seasonal dishes include the Garlic Parm Cauli Bowl and Chicken Cauli Plate, layered with caramelized balsamic onions, roasted romesco sauce, and creamy basil dressing.
