8-Year-Old Accidentally Shoots 11-Year-Old: Police
Police said the 11-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Sunday with a gunshot wound to his leg. He is listed in fair condition.
CHICAGO — An 11-year-old boy was shot by an 8-year-old Sunday morning inside a home on the South Side, Chicago police said.
Officials said the child accidentally fired a gun and struck the 11-year-old in the leg. The boy was taken to Comer Children's Hospital where he is listed in fair condition.
Police said another child in the room, a 12-year-old, was uninjured.

It's unclear how the child obtained the gun. No arrests were reported.
The shooting occurred at around 1:55 a.m. in the 4000 block of South King Drive, according to authorities.
