Shooter Emerges From Alley, Fires Into Crowd Wounding 52-Year-Man In East Side
Chicago police said the shooter emerged from an alley and started firing into a crowd in city's East Side neighborhood.

CHICAGO — A 52-year-old man was shot standing outside in a crowd Wednesday evening in Chicago’s East Side neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Around 11:30 p.m., the man was standing outside in a crowd in the 10600 block of South Mackinaw Avenue, when the purported shooter approached them from the alley. Police said the shooter displayed a gun and started firing shots in the man’s direction.
The man was struck in the abdomen and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he is listed in good condition. No other injuries were reported.

No description of the shooter was provided and no one is in custody. Area Two detectives are investigating.
