CHICAGO, IL — At least two people, including a child, were hurt when a car crashed into a daycare on Chicago's Southwest Side, ABC Chicago reported.

Chicago firefighters responded to the crash at West 84th Street and South Kedzie Avenue.

A child was taken to Comer Children's Hospital and an adult was taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, ABC reported. Their conditions were not known, and it wasn't clear if the victims were inside the daycare or the vehicle at the time of the crash, according to ABC.

The crash comes days after a truck plowed into a church daycare in Palos Park, injuring three preschoolers and two adults. Two police officers were also hospitalized after inhaling construction debris when trying to evacuate the children from the damaged church, authorities said. Police believe the driver of the truck may have suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash.

In April, tragedy struck when a vehicle drove through an after-school program in Chatham, Illinois, killing three children and a teenager. Police said the driver tested negative for drugs and alcohol, and her attorney called the incident a "freak occurrence," blaming a "seizure of some type of degree."
