Chicago Police Seek To Identify Carjacker Who Struck In Broad Daylight On South Side

The carjacking took place at 11:08 a.m. August 26th in the 9800 block of South Halsted Street.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police on Thursday were asking for help in identifying a man who carjacked someone at gunpoint in broad daylight in the South Side's Washington Heights neighborhood.

The carjacking took place at 11:08 a.m. Aug. 26 in the 9800 block of South Halsted Street.

The carjacker is shown on video repeatedly entering and leaving the convenience store at a Shell gas station, and then hanging around outside at the gas station for about five minutes while waiting for the driver to return to a BMW.
