Cops Find Man, 74, Dead From Gunshot Wound During Wellness Check
Police were responding to a request for a well-being check on the man when they arrived and found his front door open and him on the ground.
CHICAGO — A 74-year-old man was found fatally shot inside his South Side home Tuesday night after relatives asked police to check on him.
According to officials, officers received a request for a well-being check from a family member. When they arrived at the home in the 6900 block of South Aberdeen Street, they found the door open and Milton Taylor on the floor with a gunshot wound to the head.
Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Officials estimate Taylor was shot sometime between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 6:55 p.m. Tuesday. No one was in custody as of Wednesday morning.
