CHICAGO — The 2023 Archer Avenue St. Patrick’s Day Parade, presented by Chicago's Working Families, will step off at noon Saturday, March 11. The parade has become a growing tradition on Chicago South Side.
The parade route runs down Archer Avenue east from Oak Avenue to Narragansett Avenue. The deadline for sponsorships or applications to participate in the parade is Feb. 22.
Chicago Police Officer Danny Golden has been named the honorary grand marshal, who left paralyzed in a shooting last year when he tried to break up a street fight while off duty. Proceeds from sponsorships and parade participants will go toward the Daniel Golden Care Trust, to cover his ongoing recovery and rehabilitation.
