Woman Dies After Apparent Fall In Front Of CTA Bus In South Shore: Police
Chicago police said the woman had approached the CTA bus after it started moving again when she appeared to fall in front of it.

CHICAGO — A woman died Wednesday morning after she was struck by a CTA bus in the South Shore neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Just before 8 a.m., police said the bus started moving after being stopped in the 7000 block of S. South Shore Drive. The woman approached the bus, then appeared to slip in front of the bus as it was moving. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not publicly identified the woman pending notification of her next of kin. It is not clear how or why she slipped and fell.
