Fatal Crash Causes Major Delays On Bishop Ford Monday Morning
Chicago police said one man was killed in the crash and another is in serious condition.
CHICAGO — One person is dead after a traffic crash Monday morning on the South Side, Chicago police said.
A man driving a Dodge Journey northbound on Torrence Avenue near 130th Street at around 3:10 a.m. ran a red light and was hit by a semitrailer truck that was headed east, according to police. The Journey spun out and hit another semitrailer also headed east on 130th Street, officials said.
The driver of the Journey was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 50-year-old driver of one of the semis was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he is listed in serious condition.

The driver of the second tractor-trailer was not injured.
Crews were still on the scene at around 7 a.m. Monday, causing major delays for inbound traffic entering the Bishop Ford Expressway. Illinois State Police said traffic is heavy due to the exit at 130th Street being blocked.
