Man Found Shot To Death Inside Portable Toilet: Police

Police found a 39-year-old man inside a portable toilet on the South Side Thursday at around 2 a.m., officials said.

SOUTH SIDE, IL — A man was found inside a portable toilet with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest early Thursday morning, police said.

According to a statement, police discovered the man, 39, inside the toilet in the 5000 block of West Quincy Street at around 2 a.m.

Officials said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name had not been released as of Thursday afternoon pending family notification.

No one was in custody as of Thursday afternoon.

Police did not immediately respond to questions on why the man was inside the portable toilet at the time.
