Mondelēz Volunteers Join 18th Ward Back to School Picnic

A proud part of the South Side community, the Mondelēz bakery in Chicago collected school supplies for local students.

On Saturday, August 6, 2022, employees from Mondelēz International’s Chicago biscuit bakery joined the office of Alderman Curtis for the 18th Ward’s annual Back to School Picnic at Hayes Park. The team from the local Chicago bakery collected backpacks, folders, pencils, and other school supplies to help students get ready to return to the classroom this fall. Mondelēz volunteers joined their friends and neighbors in distributing the school supplies, while participating in family-friendly games alongside local community members. Mondelēz International is a snacking powerhouse with an iconic brand portfolio, including favorite Nabisco cookies and crackers, and has been a proud part of the Southside community for more than 60 years.
