Planet Fitness Announces Grand Opening Of New Club At Ford City Mall

CHICAGO – Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, will be celebrating the grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony of its new Chicago club located at 7455 S. Cicero Avenue in the Ford City Mall. New members can join for $1 down, then $10 per month (cancel anytime) or $1 down and $22.99 a month for a PF Black Card April 4-14.

Located in Chicago’s 18th Ward, officials will celebrate the grand opening of the new location from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 11, with a ribbon cutting planned for 4:30 p.m. In addition, Planet Fitness is donating $2,500 to Bogan High School, which will assist with furthering the education of local Chicago Public High School students.

Grand opening attendees will enjoy giveaways and raffle prizes that include sports tickets and souvenirs from the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox along with a special appearance from beloved White Sox mascot – Southpaw. The Chicago Bulls’ six championship trophies will be on display in-club for guests to view and take pictures with during their visit. Additionally, Chicago 18th Ward Alderman Derreck Curtis and Bogan Principal Alahrie Aziz-Simms will be in attendance, as well as other students and members of the school faculty.
