Another Expressway Shooting on I-55 Saturday
A man was shot in the leg early Saturday morning and the shooter got away. Police shut down the Stevenson for hours to investigate.

CHICAGO, IL (updated) — All outbound lanes of I-55 were closed Saturday morning as police investigated an early morning shooting that left one man injured. State Police said a man was shot four times in the leg and taken to MacNeal Hospital. The shooter, in a gray Volkswagen, fled southbound on Central Avenue.

Traffic is still being diverted off the expressway at Cicero Avenue. The shooting took place shortly after 6 a.m. The lanes were shut down at 6:30 a.m. and remain closed until about 11:30 a.m. The northbound lanes backed up with gapers.
