South Side Native Featured in Storytelling Fest
South Side Native Jimmy Doyle, Performs in Virtual 25th Annual Fillet of Solo Festival, Jan. 21-Feb. 13

South Side native and former Second City member, Jimmy Doyle, performs his original piece Sweet Jane, in Lifeline Theatre’s 25th Annual Fillet of Solo Festival, running virtually January 21- February 13.
For Doyle, Chicago is where it all started. He’s been acting since the early 1990’s and made waves as a Jeff award nominated member of Second City. Since then, Doyle has had a successful career, performing in national commercials, podcasts, commentaries and voice overs, but also as a television writer in Los Angeles. You may have seen him in his one man show in Fillet of Solo 2011, in the International Gay Theatre Festival, or Sit n Spin at the Comedy Central Stage.
Lifeline’s 25th Annual Fillet of Solo Festival celebrates the breadth of Chicago’s enduring storytelling and live-lit scene, while supporting natives like Jimmy Doyle. In its new virtual format, Lifeline unites 10 storytelling collectives and 28 solo performers together from all over the country, in a three-week online gallery of powerful, personal stories.
