18-Year-Old Called Tinley Park Police Asking For Ride, Lied About Fire

According to police, the man called the station multiple times and asked for a ride. He also falsely stated his house was on fire last month

TINLEY PARK, IL — An 18-year-old man is accused of calling Tinley Park police officers and asking for a ride, according to police documents.

Matthew Cummings is facing charges of disorderly conduct and fraud after police said he "repeatedly" called the station asking for a ride and also stated his home was on fire.

Police said Cummings' home was not on fire during the March 24 call.
