Applications Open For Tinley's Benches On The Avenue

Applications are open for the award-winning Benches on the Avenue program that features the area's amateur and professional artists.

TINLEY PARK — The Village of Tinley Park is looking for artists to participate in its award-winning Benches on the Avenue program. Amateur and professional artists are welcome to apply to decorate benches that line Oak Park Avenue.

The deadline for application is Feb. 1.

Village officials ask that artists design family-friendly benches based on a "prized page- turners” theme. They are looking for benches that are "exciting, imaginative, three-dimensional works that depict some of the most extraordinary and captivating popular novels of all time."
