Applications Open For Tinley's Citizens Fire Academy

TINLEY PARK, IL — Curious about what it takes to be a firefighter? Just want to know what goes on in a day of the life of a fire department? Check out the Tinley Park Fire Department's Citizens Fire Academy.

It's an eight-week course that provides classroom and hands-on experience about prevention, suppression, operations, fire equipment and CPR.

Classes begin August 7. Applications are due July 1.
