Back To School: Your Bremen HS District 228 2024-25 School Calendar

It's about that time. Freshmen and transfer students report Aug. 13, with all grades reporting Aug. 14.

OAK FOREST, IL — There's only a little summer left until students head back to school this month. Back-to-school planning has already begun in Bremen District 228, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the 2024-2025 school year.

The first day of school for freshmen and new students is Aug. 13. All levels are back Aug. 14.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change. We also suggest that you check the Bremen District 228 school calendar and your student’s school calendar (Oak Forest, Tinley Park, Bremen, and Hillcrest) for conferences, open houses, meetings, exams, early dismissals, athletic and other school events.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences: Oct. 10
  • Staff Institute Day: Oct. 11 (no school)
  • Columbus Day: No School: Oct. 14
  • Presidential Election: Nov. 5 (no school)
  • Veteran's Day: Nov. 11 (no school)
  • Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 27 (early dismissal)–Nov. 29
