Banging Gavel Debuts Beer Brewed In Support Of Breast Cancer Awareness
Tinley's Banging Gavel Brews will release The Verdict Is PINK Friday, Sept. 27, with a portion of sales going to breast cancer charities.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tinley Park's Banging Gavel Brews has something special in store in support of breast cancer awareness efforts.
Starting September 27, Banging Gavel Brews, 17400 Oak Park Ave, will be pouring for a cause with their latest release The Verdict is PINK, a hibiscus and strawberry Berliner Weisse brewed in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
This beer is BGB's first charity beer, crafted to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer patients and survivors, the brewery said in a release.

The beer was born from a heartfelt request by bartender Jenny Potoczny who, along with Head Brewer JT Rea and a team of BGB ladies—Beckie O'Connor, Charly Martin, and Melissa Carroll—brewed The Verdict is PINK on August 26.
"I know so many friends and family members who've been impacted by breast cancer, and I wanted to do something meaningful to help," Potoczny said. "This beer is a way to give back to the community and show support for those still fighting and for those who have survived. I'm incredibly grateful to my team for backing me on this idea and turning it into a reality."

Banging Gavel will donate a portion of every sale of The Verdict is PINK to two organizations:
- Embrace Emily: A 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in memory of Emily Klaus, a beloved friend who fought metastatic breast cancer with courage. Embrace Emily helps breast cancer patients offset treatment costs, continuing Emily's legacy of supporting fellow warriors. Banging Gavel has been proud to host their annual fundraisers and are honored to include them in their efforts.
- The Ginger Rugai Y-Me Softball Tournament: A 501(c)(3) charity that funds individual breast cancer researchers at the University of Chicago Medicine.
Both organizations have been pillars of support in the fight against breast cancer. Throughout October, BGB will invite representatives from both organizations—Ellen Noonan from Embrace Emily and a representative from Y-Me—to guest-bartend at special events in the Bier Garten, with all tips and donations going to the cause.
