Books Theme Selected For Tinley Park's 2019 Benches
"Prized Page Turners" was chosen in an online poll as the focus for next year's Benches on the Avenue program.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Although this year's Benches on the Avenue will still be seen around Tinley Park through October, village officials already next year's theme lined up. And residents were instrumental in choosing it.
“Prized Page Turners” will be the 2019 benches theme, and it will showcase stories and characters from popular, family-friendly novels. The theme was selected from an online poll that included two other suggestions, favorite parks and sports arenas and stadiums, according to the village.
More than 300 people participated in the survey, and "Prized Page Turners" won by a 50.2 percent margin. The sports arena theme was second (28.3 percent), followed by parks (21.5 percent).

An official for 2019 bench artists is expected to go out next month, the village said.
