Candidates Beat Challenge To Run For Tinley Trustee

Two candidates beat petition challenges for Tinley's trustee elections in April, placing them against a One Tinley Park slate.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Five trustee hopefuls are vying for Tinley Park's board seats in April after two of them overcame challenges to putting their names on the ballot.

William Brennan, Diane Galante, and Michael Mueller are running on the One Tinley Park slate, the party backed by Trustee Michael Glotz and Village Clerk Kristin Thirion.

Two others, Brian Godlewski and Jeff Mech, are running as independents.

Godlewski, Mech and Christopher Cwik, who also ran as an independent, all faced challenges to their ballot petitions. After additional reviews by Cook and Will county elections boards, Tinley Park's electoral board determined this week that signatures for both Godlewski and Mech were valid, and both were placed on the ballot.

Objections to Cwik's petitions were found to be valid. His name will not appear on the ballot.
