Cocaine Deal Earns Tinley Man 6 Months in the Slammer

Narcotics police caught the 30-year-old man while conducting a sting early last year, according to a report.

A 30-year-old Tinley Park man was sentenced to six months in Bureau County Jail after admitting to selling cocaine, according to the NewsTribune, which covers the Illinois Valley.

Kevin Faulkner pleaded guilty June 27 to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, the NewsTribune reported. He was arrested early last year when he delivered 3.2 grams of cocaine to an undercover officer in a drug enforcement sting, the report stated.

While this is his first felony conviction, Faulkner also has a history of battery and drug charges in Cook and Will counties, the report stated.

In addition to his jail time, Faulkner faces $5,000 in fines, five years' special probation and drug and alcohol counseling, according to the report.
