TINLEY PARK, IL - Crews will be hitting the streets next month to tend to Tinley Park vegetation that could otherwise interrupt electricity service.

Starting in mid-September, ComEd will perform "transmission corridor vegetation management activities" from 191st Street and 80th Avenue south to Horizon Court, according to a community update.

"Vegetation management is necessary to ensure the reliability of electrical service and to ensure public safety," local officials said. "Transmission corridors in the area are composed of large steel poles or tower structures that are used to transport large volumes of electricity."
