TINLEY PARK, IL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Jacob just became a licensed EMT this year so he has to deal with serious conditions from the start. He puts in as many hours as he can to help, sometimes 50 hours or more a week.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
He is a hard worker and so compassionate, puts all he has into his job.
