Cops Ask Beef Beggars to Skedaddle

Two men who were reportedly begging for money last week at a local beef restaurant were asked to leave the premises after causing quite a scene, according to reports. Restaurant employees said the duo is no stranger to the cafe.

issued trespass warnings to two men last week after they reportedly begged for money to buy sandwiches that they later chucked at the concrete outside.

Employees said the men, ages 20 and 23, regularly eat at Pop's Italian Beef, 7301 W. 183rd St., , and don't pay for their food. A manager at the restaurant said they typically order food without having enough money to pay for it, or any money at all. 

"Today, when the restaurant refused service until the offenders could pay, the offenders started asking customers sitting at the tables ... for money to buy food," the report said. "One of the customers did buy sandwiches for the offenders, but the offenders went outside and threw the food on the ground in the parking lot."

The two were warned to not return to the business, as employees consider their presence is a liability, according to the report. Their names were excluded from this report because they were not formally charged in the matter.
