Crisis Center's Golf Outing To Support Domestic Violence Victims

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia will host its 31st annual golf outing on Tuesday, August 13.

ORLAND PARK, IL — A major fundraiser for a vital resource for victims of domestic violence returns for its 31st year on Tuesday, August 13.

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia is a local non-profit that serves victims of domestic violence and their children throughout the entire South Chicagoland area by offering free shelter, housing, counseling, advocacy and support services. Each year, it hosts the Dianne Masters Cup Charity Golf Outing to raise funds to help support its mission. This year’s outing will be held on Tuesday, August 13 at Silver Lake Country Club in Orland Park.

The event is held yearly and memorializes the center's founder Dianne Masters, and the work she did to help raise awareness and support for victims of domestic violence.

The Dianne Masters Cup is the center's second largest fundraiser of the year. Participants and golfers will be helping survivors of domestic violence through sponsorships, golfing, purchasing raYle tickets, bidding on auction items, or making donations. Registration for golf includes either an 18-hole or 9-hole golfing option, all hole games and contests, breakfast-togo, lunch, and post-play meal and cocktail celebration. Non-golfers can purchase tickets for the cocktail and dinner celebration, and also participate by bidding in the online auction!

Funds raised at this year’s golf outing will ensure that the agency continues to provide free shelter, housing, counseling, and support services to victims of domestic violence as well as educational and prevention programs for our communities.

"The funds raised from the golf outing are especially important this year, as our Executive Director, Pamela Kostecki, recently pledged to double our community outreach programs," said Special Event Planner, Nikki Parham.
