Daredevil Motorcycle Man Stood Atop Bike As he Rode Down Harlem Avenue: Cops
The Frankfort man's daring stunt landed him in trouble with the law.

The officer was apparently unimpressed by Nicholas Garcia’s audacious display, as he arrested him on a charge of reckless driving. The cop also reportedly had Garcia’s Kawasaki impounded.
The officer spotted Garcia, 22, riding a red motorcycle on Harlem near 171st Street about 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 20. The officer was driving up Harlem when Garcia passed him going the other way, police said.
“The driver of the motorcycle was staring directly at my squad,” the officer said, according to a police report.
“After passing the motorcycle the driver turned his head completely around while staring at my squad,” the officer said. “I found this behavior suspicious. I also recollected numerous past reckless driving complaints of the driver of a red motorcycle standing up while moving.”
And when he got about a block away from the cop car, that’s just what Garcia did, police said.
“I observed the driver of the motorcycle, while moving, stand up on top of the motorcycle with no hands on the handlebars,” the officer said.
Garcia reportedly sat back down so he could stop for a red light. The officer pulled a U-turn and caught up with Garcia at the light, police said.
Garcia was released after he posted $2,000 bond.
