Head of Streetz Arts Alliance John Streetz, said while he initially was concerned about a second Halloween-themed event at the brewery in the month of October, but said this one offers a unique set of vendors.

"I was definitely worried about doing two Halloween-themed events at Soundgrowler in the same month," Streetz said, "but with a different mix of makers at each and different highlighted artists of the highest caliber from the area, I am confident patrons will still enjoy the Dark Arts Market this Saturday."

The Dark Arts Market is already generating significant interest, Streetz said, with over 1,000 people expressing their interest on the event's Facebook page. Soundgrowler Brewing enhances the market with its atmosphere and menu offerings. Saturday's event marks the second Dark Arts Market in two years at Soundgrowler Brewing, with the first one having taken place on Oct. 22, 2022.

Comparing this year's event to the previous year, approximately half of the featured artists are different, and some are making their market debut, including Yasmine Abed Art, Sid's Cabbage Patch, Insecto Negro, and Flock and Fields, among others.
In addition to the macabre and spooky artworks, the market offers a variety of delightful treats. Visitors can indulge in pickles, cookies, and handmade bread from esteemed makers like Wanna Pickle Gourmet Foods, Quinncakes by George, and Masterclass Savory & Sweet Foods to name a few.
A highlight of the event is the release of a recent special brew, "Blood Crypt," by Soundgrowler Brewing. This 6.2% ABV New England IPA is described as "a flavor explosion with a tropical and citrusy symphony, complemented by a hint of sweetness."
"The Dark Arts Market promises to be another captivating and yet completely different-themed event with creepy items, magical artists and dark art themes throughout the tables," Streetz said in a release.
