TINLEY PARK, IL — Local artists and makers will all be putting a spooky spin on their makings for a Summerween artisan market coming to a Tinley Park brewery.

On Saturday, July 26, the Streetz Artz Alliance returns to Soundgrowler Brewing Co. in Tinley Park, bringing the eerie and the eclectic to life with the return of the Summerween Market — a spooky summertime art event packed with horror-themed creations, unique handmade goods, cosplayers, tacos, and fresh craft beer.

From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., nearly 50 local artists and makers will fill the brewery’s indoor space and outdoor patio — rain or shine — with everything from dark décor and original artwork to gothic accessories, bone art, candles, jewelry, and wearable oddities. Every item is handmade, and each vendor is a small business owner bringing a deeply personal and creative touch to their work.

Admission is free, the event is family-friendly, and there's plenty of parking on-site at 8201 183rd St Suite P.

The event follows hot on the heels of Soundgrowler’s 8-year anniversary celebration, where the brewery debuted “Day Walkers,” a bold 12% ABV Triple IPA crafted with Amarillo and Mosaic hops. With citrus-forward flavor and a smooth caramel finish, it’s a brew that bites — and perfectly complements the bold energy of Summerween.

Curated by Streetz Artz Alliance founder John E. Streetz, the artist lineup includes returning favorites and a fresh wave of newcomers: Archangelo Crelencia, Big Monster Life, D’Mood Kreationz, Dale Zawada, Demise Decor, Disturbing Dollss/Slow Poke Sculpts, Glassbound Gardens, JLK Soaps and Such, Little Wicked Things, Rantana Creations, Scents of Time, Sweet Ghoul, Violet Weatherstone, and many more.

Marisa Dion Art returns with her signature entomology artwork, featuring ethically sourced butterflies and insects preserved in one-of-a-kind frames, clocks, and globes. She’ll also be debuting new spooky crochet work and decorative witch hats just for the show.

Morbid and Mortified brings new jewelry and accessories crafted from ethically sourced bones, while Rantana Creations unveils new horror-themed bags and accessories — including a Cult of the Lamb circle bag made specially for this event.

Scents of Time, known for their hand-poured, 100% coconut soy candles, will debut their Halloween and Fall collection, while Secondhand Nightmares promises eerie delights ranging from repurposed vintage art to creepy figurines and curiosities.

Other featured vendors include Art of Alex Kujawa, Gigawatt Coffee Roasters, Belonio Doodles, The Ancestral Oven (come early to grab their sourdough), Ten Cups Tarot (offering readings throughout the day), and dozens more.

Many participating artists also donate proceeds to charity, including organizations like St. Jude’s, Brave Space Alliance, and veterans support groups such as CFVC.

“Soundgrowler has always been an amazing brewery and a gracious host,” said event organizer John Streetz. “Summerween is one of the biggest and busiest events we produce in the south suburbs. Our artists are ready to scare and delight.”

And if the market fills up (as expected), Soundgrowler typically operates two lines: one for beer, and one for food and drink.
