The most pressing issues facing our (board, district, etc.) are _______, and this is what I intend to do about them.

The most pressing issue at the Park District is the lack of transparency regarding what is happening at the TPMHC, the McCarthy Park fireworks, and the rates charged for our seniors to use the facilities. Residents are confused because nothing is being said about the cleanup. Just recently, the Park District was fined by OSHA for SIX SERIOUS Health Violations. Lisa Butler set up a meeting for us to meet with the Village Board to discuss the 4th of July fireworks at McCarthy Park. Our team agreed with the Village Board to have the fireworks at McCarthy Park if we allowed the Police Chief, Fire Chief, Village Manager, Park District Executive Director, and the unified command team to make the safety decisions and not Senators or House Reps who are family members of the commissioners. We feel that seniors are struggling to keep up with inflation and rising costs. They should be at a lower fee or free with residency.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I have worked on many construction projects over the years, from start to finish. We will all independently decide what’s best for the Tinley Park Park District taxpayers through town hall meetings and public input on large projects. We will not let Legislators who do not live in Tinley Park make these decisions for the taxpayers. Our team is financially sound without a long history of financial judgments.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)?

To much outside influence. I feel that the current board can't make decisions but are being told how to make them.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

Hopefully, the redevelopment of the TPMHC property will be for the residents of Tinley Park to enjoy.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have worked on a lot of Projects over the years and have always put effort into what I am doing on the projects.

Why should voters trust you?

I have been saying all along the Park District needs to keep the residents informed of what is going on with Mental Health Property. There is no transparency.

If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?

Hopefully, the redevelopment of the TPMHC property will be for the residents of Tinley Park to enjoy.

What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the handling of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?

Currently, too much money is being wasted, and there is no fiscal responsibility for the cleanup. When will the state say no more? Finish this on your own.

What are your thoughts on the crime rate in your community, and what more can be done to combat crime — especially violent crime — in town?

Crime will always be a battle to keep it down to acceptable levels with the passing of the new safety act. The Village officials are doing an excellent job fighting it and keeping crime down.

What is your view of the Village's approach to commercial and residential development?

They are doing an excellent job in bringing new business in. It’s a never-ending battle Especially with so many businesses going out of business.

When it comes to development, what are some key areas for improvement or additions you feel are most wanted by residents? What will need to be done to make this happen?

The biggest issue with residents is trying to keep the taxes down. They try to blame the village for the issues but it’s a county problem, and out of the village’s hands.

Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?

None

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I have been a 45-year-old resident of Tinley Park. I have seen a lot of growth over the years and just can’t believe how much it’s changed. From going to Brementowne Mall as a child to going to going on a bus to Andrew HS in the middle of nowhere. Now everything has changed, the areas are all developed.
