False Reports Of Triple Shooting After Weapon Discharges: Police

TINLEY PARK, IL — A weapon discharge Saturday left some residents scared and confused after neighbors shared misinformation about a possible triple shooting in the 8400 block of Dunmore Drive.

Police told residents a weapon accidentally discharged once inside a home on Dunmore Drive at around 9 p.m. Saturday. After police responded to the incident, neighbors shared information on Ring that a heavy police presence and multiple emergency vehicles were in the area in response to a triple shooting.

Police said the incident was "isolated" and that there was never a threat to anyone outside the home where the gun went off.
