Flurry Artisan Market Back At Tinley Park Brewery

The Sunday market at Hailstorm Brewing will feature more than 40 artists and vendors.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A popular artisan market returns Sunday, Sept. 1 to Hailstorm Brewing in Tinley Park.

The Flurry Artisan Market will feature 40 artists, both inside and outside of the brewery. The event will include a new brunch offering at Hailstorm Brewing, 8060 186th St., from open until 2 p.m.

The free, family-friendly market will run, rain or shine, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will happen rain or shine.

"If you enjoyed the events here previously, you know this is a carefully curated market with high-quality artisans, original artwork, and good vibes," said John Streetz, head of the Streetz Artz Alliance and curator of the event. "The brewery hosts artists both inside and outside, and we are anticipating great weather to round out the summertime."

The Streetz Artz Alliance is a group of 350 artists and crafters from across the Chicago suburbs, NW Indiana, and southern Wisconsin who participate in markets at breweries all over the area. The group is dedicated to promoting local artists and fostering community engagement through art-centric events.

Patron favorites like Libra Rising by Yoali, Masterclass Savory & Sweet Foods, The Curious Aesthetic, Wanna Pickle Gourmet Foods, and Stormy's Happy Place are scheduled to set up at this event, each offering a variety of fresh, new items.

"Whether you are looking for giant gourmet cookies, cute crocheted kitties, the latest in boho earring fashions, or finely curated vintage clothing and items, you will not be disappointed," Streetz said in a release.

Grandma Dan's Cookies will be on-site again, but this time only selling their vanilla extract.

"There's nothing vanilla about vanilla," said Daniel Kuchta. "Vanilla beans come from across the globe, and each nationality has its own unique hints of flavor. From the earthy, chocolatey notes of Ugandan vanilla to the sweet, cherry-floral notes of Indonesian, Grandma Dan's Cookies brings you a variety of vanillas to add extra flavor to your food!"

Twelve of the more than 40 artists planned for this event are making their debut, ensuring fresh art, items, and a new experience for patrons.

The market is the second for the Streetz Alliance this weekend. The Comic and Cosplay Market is set for Saturday, Aug. 31 at Soundgrowler Brewing. The event will feature a curated mix of local artists, comic book authors, vendors, and cosplayers, along with a cosplay contest.
