Get Child's Car Seat Checked Out By Tinley Park Police
Experts will make sure car seats are properly installed during an event Saturday.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Parents can gain a little peace mind this weekend when it comes to the safety of their child's car seat thanks to the Tinley Park Police Department. Locally, the law enforcement agency is participating in National Seat Check Saturday.
Certified seat technicians will check if car seats are correctly installed for anyone who drives up to the Tinley Park Fire Department, 7750 W. 183rd St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. No appointments are necessary, but the village is asking participants to make sure their vehicles are clean and free of clutter, so technicians can properly check seats.
Anyone with questions about the event can call 708-444-5300 or go to the village's website for details.
