Great Christmas Lights for a Great Cause in Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, IL — Every year, a team of Christmas enthusiasts comes together to decorate the Kowalczyk house in Tinley Park. Dominic Kowalczyk says it takes about 500 hours from start to finish, and more than 100,000 lights are used, to create his Winter Wonderland. The Kowalczyks accept donations for Together We Cope, a community non-profit that provides food, shelter, clothing and other assistance to people in crisis.

Two years ago, the Kowalczyk house was featured on ABC’s “Great Light Fight,” a competition series in which 20 families across America decorated their homes to the extreme in pursuit of a $50,000 cash prize.

Visit the Kowalczyk home, 17321 Avon Lane, Tinley Park, this holiday season to check out the beautiful lights. And, of course, donations are welcome.
