Homewood Disposal Increase Coming This October

Residents can expect to see the increase beginning Oct. 1, according to the village.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Village of Tinley Park shared that Homewood Disposal Service will be implementing a 3.5 percent increase for residential solid waste collections, going into effect Oct. 1.

According to the village, veterans discounts are available only to veterans with documented 100 percent disability.

Residential refuse service will increase to $26.24 per unit, and the senior citizen rate will increase to $24.74 per unit, according to the village. Dumpster service will increase to $214.25 for delivery and pickup and $53.56 per ton, while free collection for veterans will remain unchanged, the village stated.

Individually invoiced rates for town homes and condominiums will increase to $24.11 per unit, and HOA-direct invoice rates will increase to $22.50 per unit, according to the village.

Homewood Disposal serves Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana with waste and recycling pick up. They may also be known as NuWay Disposal, Star Disposal and Kankakee Disposal.
