The ramp connecting eastbound Interstate 80 to northbound Interstate 294 will be closed for a resurfacing project beginning, weather permitting,Tuesday, July 7, according to IDOT.
In order to complete the work, the ramp will be closed for a total of seven consecutive days beginning at 12:01 a.m. July 7. A detour will be posted for motorists to use northbound Interstate 57 to the newly constructed northbound Interstate 294 interchange.
The project will be complete by July 14.
