Surveillance images show the suspect car in the shooting that killed a father outside of Hillcrest High School Saturday afternoon.

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, IL — An investigation continues after a father was gunned down in front of his son Saturday afternoon outside Hillcrest High School, and police on Monday released surveillance images of the suspect car.
Police said the victim, identified as 41-year-old Shamaree Siller, was walking out of the high school gym with his juvenile son just after 1 p.m., when he was confronted by a car full of armed suspects. The suspects had been lying in wait, police said, inside a black, four-door Infiniti Q50. As the victim approached, the suspects blocked his path to his vehicle, police said. The suspects then got out of the car with weapons drawn, opening fire on Siller, police said.
The suspects then fled southbound toward Pulaski Road, police said. Siller's son, a juvenile, was not injured, according to police. Siller was taken to Advocate South Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Initially, officials from Prairie-Hill District 144 believe there had been a confrontation that escalated into gun violence. Police on Monday said that perception is incorrect.
"At this time we have no evidence to support the allegations that our victim was involved in any type of confrontation with anyone, while inside the location," police said in a release. "Further, there is no evidence that indicates the offenders in the black Infiniti Q50 ever entered the location.".jpg)
