Inside Oak Village Part II - Ankle-Grabbed Woman Again Attacked, Defended By Knife-Wielding Pal: Cops

This time she was attacked by her boyfriend, who made his getaway on a turquoise motorcycle, police said.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The same day a man was arrested for grabbing her ankle at their condo complex pool, a woman was pushed around by her boyfriend until a knife-wielding pal stepped up to defend her, police said.

Maureen Bracken, 46, was in the parking lot of the Oak Village condo complex talking to a friend, 30-year-old Paul Krumrie, when her boyfriend appeared about 9:30 p.m. on June 21, police said.

The boyfriend, Daniel Hansen, 45, “came down to the parking lot stating it was time to go,” police said.

“Paul stated that Daniel started pushing Maureen,” according to a police report. “Paul stated that he told Daniel to stop at which time Daniel punched him in the left side of the face. Paul stated that Daniel then placed his keys between his fingers. Paul related that he pulled a pocket knife out of his pocket and stepped away from Daniel. Paul stated that Daniel then left on his motorcycle.”

Bracken reportedly gave the cops the same story as Krumrie and told them that Hansen took off on a turquoise motorcycle.

The police said they found the turquoise motorcycle in the parking lot of Cuzin’s Tavern & Pizza down Oak Park Avenue from Oak Village. When Hansen emerged from Cuzin’s, he was arrested on two counts of battery.

Just a day earlier, another resident of Oak Village was arrested for allegedly grabbing not only Bracken’s ankle, but the ankle of another woman at the condo complex pool 10 days prior.

The alleged ankle-grabber, 45-year-old Kevin Todd Leroy, also snatched a young girl’s swimming goggles, threatened her father and made a racist remark, police said.

Leroy was also allegedly intoxicated and brought along a glass bottle of vodka when he stopped by the pool.
