Kings Of Leon Cancel The Rest Of Tour, Including Tinley Park
The band canceled their remaining tour dates through October following the death of their mother.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The Kings of Leon concert slated for Saturday at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre has been canceled by the band. The cancelation of the show, along with the rest of the tour, comes after the group announced their mother, Betty Ann Murphy, has died.
The band took to Instagram to share the news, saying, "We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from our fans. If you haven’t heard, our mom Betty Ann passed away peacefully last week. We’ve decided to cancel all remaining tour dates through October to be with our families. Thanks for the kind words and all the love you’ve given to the entire Followill family."
On Sept. 25, the band shared on Instagram that their mother was having a medical crisis for some time.

"Our mother, who many of our fans know and love, has been dealing with a medical crisis for the last several weeks and while it has been hard to take the stage each night, it has been the love and energy from you, our fans, that has gotten us through. Just before taking the stage at The Forum, we learned she took a turn for the worse. It was a hard show to get through, but you held us up that night in a way we will never forget.
"Immediately following the show, we all flew home, where we will remain by her side until the time comes to say goodbye. Our show tonight at Shoreline Amphitheatre and our appearance at Ohana Festival this weekend are cancelled but we wanted to say thank you to all of our fans, to Eddie, and to our entire Pearl Jam family for supporting us during this time."

The band formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1999, and is composed of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill with their cousin Matthew Followill, according to Wikipedia. Kings of Leon initially became successful in the United Kingdom with nine Top 40 singles, two BRIT Awards in 2008, and all three of the band's albums at the time peaked in the top five of the UK Albums Chart, Wikipedia states.
When You See Yourself, the group's eighth studio album, was released on March 5. Supporting the rock band on tour this summer is Cold War Kids, an American indie rock band from Long Beach, California.
Those who bought tickets for the show here in Tinley Park can expect to see a refund through their Ticketmaster accounts, according to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre.
