Kiss Postpones Tinley Appearance After Members Contract COVID-19
While Paul Stanley has tweeted he has recovered, Gene Simmons has tested positive for the virus and is experiencing mild symptoms.
TINLEY PARK, IL — Rock legends, Kiss, who were set to preform in Tinley Park as part of their End of the Road World Tour, have announced they are postponing their Sept. 4 concert after members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons contracted COVID-19.
The band made the announcement on its official Facebook page.
"While Paul Stanley recently tweeted he has recovered from COVID, Gene Simmons has now tested positive and is experiencing mild symptoms," the band wrote in a statement. "The band and crew will remain at home and isolate for the next 10 days and doctors have indicated the tour should be able to resume on September 9th at FivePoint Amphitheatre in Irvine, CA."

The shows now postponed include Clarkston, MI, initially scheduled for Sept. 1; Dayton, OH, which would have been Sept. 2; Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre on Sept. 4, here in Tinley Park, and Sept. 5 in Milwaukee, WI.
"All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates once announced," the band wrote. "More information will be emailed to ticket holders directly."

As of Wednesday, no new date has been announced for the Tinley Park show.
The band's End of the Road World Tour was originally scheduled for last September, but was postponed due to COVID-19. Tickets for the September 12, 2020 show were set to be honored at this year's show.
Kiss is known for onstage gimmicks such as fire breathing and pyrotechnics. Their hard rock sound produced numerous gold and platinum albums, such as "Destroyer" in 1976 and "Revenge" in 1992, which climbed into the Top 10 in the U.S. and the Top 20 throughout Europe.
The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014, after selling more than 75 million record around the world.
