KSD140 Parent Night Features Renowned Speaker, Educator
The Jan. 9 Parent Night at KSD140 will feature Robert Jackson, a speaker and educator, on cultural communication.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Kirby School District 140's Parent Night next week will feature a renowned speaker and educator focusing on cultural awareness and communication. Robert Jackson, a five-time author and former teacher, will give tactics for building cultural awareness.
Jackson runs events and seminars designed to motivate students. His events are sometimes sponsored by state child services agencies and nonprofits.
Through his writing and speaking, Jackson has become an expert on "cultural diversity, restorative practices, socio emotional learning, working with students who have experienced trauma and how to educate Black and Latino males," his website says.

The event starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at Prairie View Middle School.
