Last Music In The Plaza Event In Tinley To 'Shock The System'

The last musical event of the 2021 season will kick off this Saturday at 7 p.m.

TINLEY PARK, IL — The final Tinley Park Music in the Plaza concert of 2021 will kick off Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. For the last night of the season, Shock the System is prepared to rock the night away.

The concert was originally planned to take place on June 26 but was canceled due to inclement weather. It is back on and will take place in Zabrocki Plaza. The School of Rock Mokena Show Band will take the stage at 7 p.m. to open the night's festivities, according to the village.

Shock the System will take the stage at 8 p.m. and will perform "The Evolution Show" featuring 50 years of hard rock classics played in chronological order, according to the village.

"From AC/DC and Van Halen to Foo Fighters and Green Day, get ready to bang your heads," the village said.

The Open Bottle will be selling beer, pop and water, and Kernel Sweetooth will sell hot dogs and popcorn. Several Downtown Tinley restaurants within walking distance also will be offering special deals and menu options that night, including Ed and Joe's and SIP Wine Bar, according to the village.
