Loyola Medicine To Build Location In Tinley Park: Mayor
"This development is huge for us in Tinley, and we expect it will spark a huge draw in businesses in the area," Glotz told Patch.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Loyola Medicine is expected to make its way to Tinley Park, with plans to operate as early as 2023, according to Tinley Park Mayor Michael Glotz.
The medical facility is proposing to construct a new two-story, 70,000-square-foot Advanced Ambulatory Care Center at 179th Street and LaGrange Road, just west of Moraine Valley Community College’s satellite location, according to Glotz. The future primary care facility will offer a range of medical specialties, including orthopedic surgery, oncology, cardiology, pulmonary medicine, urology, audiology and general surgery, Glotz said.
"We couldn’t be more excited that Loyola Medicine has chosen Tinley Park for their newest location," Glotz said in an announcement. "Loyola Medicine offers first-rate medical services, and it’ll be great to have access to that kind of quality care right here in our own backyard."

The site will be tax-exempt, and is expected to include an immediate care center for walk-in patients seeking help for urgent but not life-threatening medical issues, according to Glotz. Other features will include a comprehensive cancer care center, an imaging center, a retail pharmacy, 50 exam rooms, eight procedure rooms, an x-ray suite and a laboratory to support multiple disciplines. The new facility is expected to employ as many as 130 people and will serve about 1,500 patients per week, Glotz said.
Working hours are currently anticipated to be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends. Reached by phone, Glotz told Patch the development stems from two years of work to bring the center to Tinley Park.

Currently, Loyola is working with the village in providing necessary easements for a future lift station that will allow the construction of water and sewer lines to benefit the development of the broader Tinley Park area, Glotz said.
"I want to thank Community Development Director Kimberly Clarke, Village Manager Dave Niemeyer, Village Attorney Paul O’Grady, Village Lobbyist Tom Manion with the Rory Group, and all of the staff that worked so hard to bring this wonderful new medical facility to Tinley Park," Glotz said. "Great things happen when we all work together, and the Loyola Medical Center is proof!"
