Monee Man Charged With Having Sex With A 14-Year-Old Tinley Girl

A Monee man is behind bars Wednesday after Tinley Park police said he had been having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

TINLEY PARK, IL — A Monee man has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse after engaging in a "sexual relationship" with a 14-year-old Tinley Park girl, police said.

Tinley Park Police said that they have charged Andrew Schuenemann, 28, of Monee, with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor and one count of indecent solicitation after he had sex with a girl whom they said he knew was a minor. The girl lived in Tinley when the incident started, but later moved out of town, police said.

Schuenemann was arrested in morning of July 3 near his house. Police were there to execute a search warrant.

The charges are a result of a three-month investigation, police said.

Police also found electronic items at Schuenemann's house, but did not say what they were.

Additional charges are pending.

Schuenemann is being held in the Will County Adult Correctional Facility in lieu of $500,000 bond.
