Nationwide Manhunt Is On After Woman, Children Found Shot: Matteson PD
A woman, her juvenile child and adult daughter were found shot inside their home on May 18. An ex-boyfriend is the suspect.

MATTESON, IL — A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in the shootings of a woman and her two children inside their Matteson home.
Matteson police were called at 1:27 a.m. May 18 to the 5600 block of Woodgate Drive for a home invasion. Inside the home, police found three gunshot victims.
The resident, her juvenile child and her adult daughter were taken to area hospitals for treatment. The woman's children have been released and are recovering from their injuries. The mother remains hospitalized. The victims are not being identified at this time for their safety, Matteson police said.

The suspect has been identified as the mother’s 43-year-old ex-boyfriend, Lander D. Coleman, of Chicago. A nationwide arrest warrant has been issued for Coleman. The Matteson Police Department has asked for assistance from outside agencies with locating Coleman.
This was an isolated domestic incident and there is no threat to the community, police said.
