New Christmas Decorations Coming To Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, IL — The holidays will be a little brighter this Christmas in Tinley Park — almost literally.

The board of trustees approved buying new decorations for the village Monday night, dipping into the marketing department's stocking (just kidding — it was budgeted) to cover the $50,688 for them.

Here's what you'll see in December:

• Four 6’ 6” illuminated snowflakes at $14, 944.00;
• One 9’ 8” illuminated reindeer at $4,273.50;
• Three 6’6” illuminated reindeer at $6,854.00;
• One 6’6” illuminated reindeer at $3,757.05;
• One fountain light up display $ 11,050.00; and
• Installation, takedown, maintenance and storage costs of $9,810.00.
