The Feb. 21 event is one of the nonprofit's largest fundraisers. Proceeds benefit the programs that support domestic violence survivors.

TINLEY PARK, IL — Tickets are on sale now for a vital social services agency's annual gala fundraiser, with proceeds to benefit the organization that supports survivors of domestic violence.

The Crisis Center for South Suburbia last week announced its “Be the One—Color the World with Compassion" gala, set for Saturday, Feb. 21, at The Odyssey Country Club, 19110 S Ridgeland Ave., in Tinley Park.

Be the One is more than a theme—it’s a powerful reminder that lasting change begins with you, the agency said in a release. This gala honors those who choose to stand with survivors, transforming compassion into action and generosity into hope.

Presented by Exelon, the evening will feature powerful survivors’ testimonials, a live and silent auction, a chance drawing, live entertainment and an inspiring program highlighting the profound impact of the Crisis Center's mission. All proceeds will benefit the Crisis Center’s lifesaving services, including housing, counseling, advocacy, outreach, education, and prevention programs for individuals and families affected by domestic violence.

The gala will also honor two extraordinary award winners who exemplify commitment to our mission and community:
