Oak Forest Man Charged With DUI In Tinley Park Crash That Injured 2

Police arrested Paul Hyde, 59, Monday evening after officers said he struck a motorcycle with his car, seriously injuring 1 woman and man.

TINLEY PARK, IL — An Oak Forest man is facing one charge of aggravated driving under the influence after police said he crashed his car into a motorcycle Monday, leaving two people injured.

According to police and fire officials, a woman was a passenger on a motorcycle heading north on Oak Park Avenue at around 8:45 p.m. Monday. Paul Hyde, 59, was driving his car on Oak Park Avenue heading in the opposite direction and turned east onto 174th Place without yielding, police said.

The car hit the motorcycle, causing the female passenger serious leg and foot injuries, fire personnel said. The man driving the motorcycle suffered a broken foot. A portion of Oak Park Avenue was closed from 9:30 p.m. to 1:40 a.m. Tuesday while officials investigated the crash.
