Orland Park Woman, 84, Dies After Two-Car Crash In Tinley Park

TINLEY PARK, IL — An Orland Park woman died Tuesday night after the car she was driving struck another at 183rd and 80th Avenue in Tinley Park.

Police said the woman, 84, was traveling northbound on 80th Avenue around 8 p.m., when her car hit another near 183rd Street. She was taken to South Suburban Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. No one else was injured in the crash, said Tinley Park Police Chief Matthew Walsh.

The woman's identity was not immediately available Tuesday night.

The intersection was closed for a crash reconstruction. As of 9:30 p.m., police were not certain the direction the second car was traveling. The crash is under investigation.
